Denton Quilt Guild's library is housed in the East Wing of the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center. The library is open monthly during the half-hour before the guild's general meeting, so usually the third Tuesday evening of each month, from 6:30 to 7 PM, unless the guild is having a special event, such as an auction, a surplus sale, or a holiday dinner. It is run on the honor system and is a benefit of guild membership.

Guild Library

Denton Quilt Guild's library has an extensive collection of quilt-related books to browse and borrow. Members may check out an unlimited number of items each month, as the library is open to all members before the monthly general meeting. All items are due the following month; a $1 per item per month fee will be collected on all items returned past the due date. Overdue fee funds go toward the purchase of new books.

The complete list of books in the collection is on the DQG website and periodically updated with new additions. If you would like to request a book for pick up at the next meeting, check the LIST online and send a message to DQGLibrarian@gmail.com with the book title wanted.

The librarians welcome quilt-related book donations. If a donated book is not part of the collection and is in good repair, it will be added to the collection at the discretion of the librarians. Donations not added to the library may be sold periodically to raise funds for new books. Cash donations or donating specific books in memory of a friend or loved one are gladly accepted; a special book plate is added to the book to indicate the honorarium.
