Alternative Gift Fair (and More…)

Our fundraising activities help keep our membership fees low. These efforts have included selling guild pins, t-shirts & sweatshirts, tote bags, publication and sale of a guild cookbook, an artisan’s market, silent auctions, and giant 2-day surplus sales.

The guild participates in the Alternative Gifts Fair at Denton’s First United Methodist Church, which is open to the general public and includes many unique items for sale. These items are handmade and donated by our members throughout the year. (https://fumcdenton.com/agf) The 2025 AGF is scheduled for Nov 7-9.

In select years, several members of the guild work on our Raffle Quilt fundraiser. Once a quilt is completed, it travels to other guilds and city functions to promote the sale of raffle tickets. Ticket sales last throughout the year, and we draw the winning raffle ticket at a general meeting.
