(5800 N Interstate 35 #401 Denton, TX 76207)Over the years, many of you have asked me how I design my art quilts. Here’s a class I’ve developed to walk you through the process. I will be teaching you how to design art quilts and visualize traditional quilts using your iPad or Android tablet with easy apps.

These apps have free or inexpensive versions in both the Apple Store and the Google Play Store. Please have these already downloaded to the device you will be using for the class.

You will also need to bring a stylus that works with your device, I use an iPencil with my iPad.

Also, have images you would like to play with and a photo of a traditional block both stored in your photo app.

Genius Scan – squares up wonky photos
Mematic – is my most favorite, it builds collages there’s a free version, but I use the paid version because I use it so much
Paint By Number Creator – is perfect for making patterns from photos for art quilts
Pencil Sketch – is for manipulating images from photos
ChatGPT – is new to me, but I have used it to remove background in photos, change colors, clean up old photos, and more
Value Study – is optional, you can change values in the photo app that comes with your phone.
