Kaleidoscope Quilt workshop by Kathy Malmberg

Box Car Quilts

Fabric:

Main fabric: 3-4 yards. Be sure to pick a colorful “busy” pattern with six pattern repeats in the yardage.

Background fabric: 2,5-3 yards. Should be a “solid” fabric or fabric that compliments main fabric.

Supplies:

General sewing supplies: machine, thread, pins, scissors etc…, chocolate, whatever you need personally to sew.

– Rulers: a long ruler(around 24”)

– Equilateral triangle 60 degree ruler

– Cutting tools:

– Rotary cutter

– Cutting mat, at least 22”-24”

– Iron and ironing pad.

– Lunch-bring your own.
