Sharon and Loren Wilhelm
Loren
Loren is and has been a quilter for many years. He makes all kinds of large quilts, but is most famous for his unique, original-designed miniatures. Loren is a poet extraordinaire – Name an item or two, and in 20 minutes, he can read you a five-stanza poem with a great finale. Loren has a beautiful voice and was in radio production for 20+ years (KBOX/KMEZ Dave O’Brien), and he is a large job concrete estimator. Loren is the co-owner of Quilt Ideas as a pattern designer. He custom designs and creates the quilt ideas woodwork line, and is the manufacturer of the Quilt Hangers and Accessories division.
Sharon
Sharon is an award-winning quilter, teacher and entrepreneur, successfully running Country Collectibles and Sharon’s Quilt Depot retail stores. After retiring from the retail business, Sharon became the co-owner of Quilt Ideas with her husband Loren. Sharon runs the Quilt Ideas pattern division and designs the blocks of the month, single patterns, punch needle, embroidery patterns and coloring on fabric. She also creates quilting designs for Loren to make out of wood. Sharon loves to teach anything pertaining to quilting, loves helping quilters put together colors for new quilts, and loves to make quilts to give to various community service agencies.
