Storybook Quilts
Our Storybooks and Quilts To Go program brings reading to life—one quilt at a time! The Denton Quilt Guild has gathered a special collection of over 70 children’s books with quilt-related themes, each paired with a handcrafted quilt made by our talented members. As new books are added, guild volunteers design and sew matching quilts to keep the collection growing.
During the school year, the books and quilts travel to local schools and libraries, where teachers and librarians use them to spark imagination and learning. In the summer, they’re available to museums, libraries, and children’s groups across the community.
This heartwarming project is proudly supported in part by the Greater Denton Arts Council, the Arts Guild of Denton, the Texas Commission on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
